Limerence
2019

Collages, paintings and drawings fracture and deconstruct the world of the Disney princess, rendering her limerent, entranced and vulnerable on the one hand and armed with a machine gun on the other.

Limerence is a word made up by the psychologist Dorothy Tennov in the 1970s to describe the state of being in love, a state that the Disney princess (who appears in a number of collages and paintings) ultimately aspires to.
